Members mr benn
so I'm sick to death of the crappy stacked pots in this thing (not my guitar, but mine is the same model)the tone pot is just uselessI'm thinking of ditching it for just a single Vol pot, but my question is what value pot would work? I don't want to end up with it overly trebly but I do like the idea of a simple vol pot setup will a 250k vol be okay? should i add a cap on there? any input?? Members the Dodo
Look for the value on the existing pot and buy a new one, drop it in and everything will be ok. Cool guitar, same color scheme on yours? A black guard might look great!

Phil O'Keefe
Keith, there's a place here in the US that sells the original stacked pots - which are indeed 1 Meg / 100K.http://www.danguitars.com/PARTS.html Barring that, you could just drop a 500k or 1Meg pot in there and wire it up without a tone control. Or maybe use a J-Bass stacked pot, which IIRC is 250k / 500k.

I figured a quick fix was ditch the tone pot (due to it's position I don't often roll any treble off)hadn't thought of a J bass stacked pot...hmmm...
