Members New Trail
Re; my other thread about pedals. I'm not sure either of the Fulltone pedals are exactly what I need, but I've been reading about the Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde pedal which has a TS type OD coupled with distortion in one pedal. You can use them separately or together! Sounds good, but does it sound good? Thoughts?
Members scolfax
That is an *easy* pedal to recommend. I had the red v2 one once and it is on my short list of pedals I'd like to get back.
Members Ancient Mariner
I have an original silver one, and it's one of my favourite ever drives for live use - very musical. The one 'fault' is that they can sound noisy and a little harsh outside of a band context.
Members FormerlyBassred
I love mine. It is the first version in red. The OD is nice and plays well with a driven tube amp to push it into the gritty classic rock territory. The distortion has enough balls to make my Tele sound heavy. You can use either side or both together, it stacks them, so it can get pretty insane if you've got the drive knobs up high!. I wouldn't replace mine with anything else. I do find that when both channels are on, it is pretty noisy (I need to get a decimater or some other gate for my pedalboard.) - For now, I make sure I stomp both channels off when we do tight hits/stops. I picked mine up for $50 used. money well spent
