Members jfreaksho
I haven't bought anything from them in about three years. Same with Walmart. Welcome to the revolution. Turn to channel 6, the show's about to start. Wait, nope, sorry. The revolution will not be televised today. J.
Members pink freud
hmm, or i could continue to buy my strings from there. i think its perfect compensation for how many times i go there just to try stuff out and not buy anything. Members D/FW XJ'er
The Dallas Guitar Center has a Diezal, Bogners, Matchless, and a whole bunch of Boogie's. (On top of the standard Marshall/Fender/Crate whathaveyou) I enjoy going in there, and the salesman I always deal with calls me when stuff comes in that he thinks I'll like. No issues with them. However the GC by my house (Plano store) sucks. Bunch of 16 year olds shredding with pointy guitars/gain knobs maxed out.
Members guitarded_1
Boycott GC and MF????? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like saying that we should boycott Walmart. It wouldn't begin to make a difference.

The American consumer mentaility won't budge for a long time, my friend. You can wave all of the peace signs you want. Hell, you can even have Wavy Gravy protest out front with a sign. In the end, people will still flock to GC, MF and Walmart.

Members Jon Hiller
Originally posted by JiroJan haha, so true. i only get strings and wires from gc For what it's worth, cables are about the most profitable thing in the store for most music stores, so you're actually doing them a huge favor by purchasing cables from them. That's one of the things you actually don't want to buy from them if you want to hurt them.
Members pink freud
i have my cables custom made at a place called A#music. 20' cable, straight or 90* plugs, 12$. its about half as skinny as a monster cable to boot!

Members AtillaTheHungry
If you know good people at your local GC or Sam Ash, then that's cool. I don't, and I stear clear of them, along with MF, which is just full of it in every way.
Members blackba
I generally avoid MF and GC if I can. I am a bit confused who else is with them. I mean the big ones are Music123/Woodwind and Brasswind, Samash, American Musical Supply, Zzounds.com Lately I have been trying to support Sweetwater Sound.
