Greatest "rock" guitarist of all time? That's too broad for me to say yes or no. I'd put him in my top 20 because he's an innovator. And, he's a great player, but I don't think the best.
oh and the Les Paul MF sent me was like this. I can't stand gold hardware
Not big on gold either but I like it on that. It's okay on my burst. Matches the center yellow really well on mine though.
i'm definitely going the real-time playing route, only one track at a time. I should note that I'd be using Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio XL v4 or Cubase as my program. I'm probably going to go the firewire route, but I have to sell some amps and my digital recorder first.
What about the latency issue? Won't USB give bad latency. I do have the highest grade USB (2 or 3. something high speed), but I didn't know if that would help. M-Audio does advertise a zero-latnecy firewire though.
I could get by with one, wouldn't mind 2, but I don't need a lot. It's for personal recording, one track at a time. I'm looking at anywhere from 100 to 300 spending limit, but I prefer best bang for the buck.
If you were using Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio XL, what Firewire recording interface would you use. I hope this is the right terminology. In otherwords, the little box that hooks into your computer. Yes, I'm new to this, please don't laugh.
