Members stratboy151
i love this little amp, its what i play on 90% of the time at home. anyone ever upgrade or swap out the speaker and get more headroom? i wish it was just a tad louder clean. Members Karma1
I have a MicroCube also and am very impressed with it's sound and features. But I know what you mean about wanting more clean headroom. I haven't heard of any mods on these yet, but I've managed to get more juice (and tone) out of mine by using my Mesa Boogie V-Twin tube pre-amp pedal in front of it. I know that's not a "mod" like you were asking about, but it sounds absolutely incredible. The V-Twin isn't just a distortion, it's got a clean setting that is great. Adding a little pre-amp boost and tube mojo going into the Micro Cube makes it sound like a much bigger amp. But I'll be watching your thread to see if anyone else has done any real mods to the Micro.
Members Ancient Mariner
Has it got a speaker-out socket? If not, fitting one, then playing it through a 10"/12" speaker of the correct impedance would seem the most obvious route to me.

Members jem7vwh
Theres no speaker out jack unfortunately. Only the Cube 60 has that I believe.
Members stratboy151
i bet it would sound good with an extension speaker but that defeats the purpose of this teeny amp. i thought it would be fun if i could take this little {censored}ter around and jam and whatnot

I've enjoyed plugging my Univalve's line out into the MicroCube... power tube crunch at bedroom levels. It sounds crazy good, better then any of my bigger combos that I have tried slaving the Univalve into.

Members Beckdrix
Headphone out to speaker...but you'll probably have to have stereo plug at amp end and mod the other end to run left and right leads together to mono plug ...just an idea...need to check to make sure this won't mess up the amp .... it should be OK but I'm not responsible if it's not and things start smoking ....I'm going to try it with miy Micro Cube....which I run with a Dirty little Secret pedal the sound is Amazing like two 50 watt Marshall Half stacks Tweeked
