For that kind of cash a Korg M50 might be appealing...you could also get a nice mono like a Moog LP or a DSI Mopho Kb.

 

Depends on what you want to do with it. If it's going to be your only instrument I'd probably veer toward a multi-tasker like the M50.

Very good choice - the Kurzweil stuff sounds great and is pretty flexible.

if it was me i'd give the Roland GAIA a try. nice accessible interface, useable sounds, good price.

 

but my usual method is to go bananas with indecision for a month before finally settling on what to buy.
