Members fetuspetus
i'd definitely get it sealed in plastic, keep it out of really moist/hot/cold areas, and check every month for any of those problems. i wouldn't put it in a basement unless it is a completely finished and attended basement. Members JimAnsell
put them in the fridge HA! yeah, listen to adam jones. store them in a big freezer so as to keep the components in "suspended animation". also, leave it some blow.
Members Armitage
Electrolitic capacitors need to be powered up occationally or they start to break down. Power those suckers up at least once a year, even for a minute.
Members drixll
Any tips on storing amps for long period? yeah, i have one - sell it for as much as you can and put your money in a money-market savings account with capital one at 5% interest, and when you're ready to 'take it out of storage' you will have a nice return on your investment.
