Members Smokey
Historically the plexi circuit has 1 stage of gain plus the tone circuit. There are many people who add gain stages to that same basic circuit.

Members JamesPeters
or plexi by default means low to medium gain, depending on where the volume is?Who makes a good medium-high gain marshall combo? Mr Peters...? I can make a combo that does sounds like you want, but there are some things to consider. First, I don't make clones of anything; however the Polaris covers that ground very well in its own way, with lots of features and flexibility (far beyond what a plexi can do). Second, I can't charge the same price as one of my heads; it has to cost more, probably a few hundred more, and the shipping will cost more too. I also won't make a tiny combo since it's not going to sound as good as one of a certain minimum size; a 1x12 combo is feasible but it'll be a larger 1x12 combo. Email or call me if you want to discuss it. Thanks for considering my amps.
