Very articulate, tight tone and major bass.The Orange 2x12's are good also but darker sounding. Bogners another good one. I still prefer the MESA 2x12 though. Members bullhead Posted August 28, 2007 Members Share Posted August 28, 2007 my money is on Reeves or Orange, but if you can't find those, try VHT. those are the cabs with the most similar construction/ speaker mounting to the actual Hiwatt cabs... which is what you'd want ideally. there's virtually nothing ever that beats an original Hiwatt 4x12.
