Members Randy Van Sykes
Yeah I'm sure the amp sounds fine. Smaller combos just have that kind of sound to them overall. And yeah it'd probably fit a mix just fine...but someone's too lazy to record in a mix, isn't he. :poke: In a mix you couldn't tell the difference from a big amp. Members Herald of Light
Yes I could. I could look at the stage and say, "Oh, that amp is small. After that one picture where he looked like a woman, we can now be 100% certain that he has no penis."

Members Eric Bresnick
I thought it sound PERFECT.. Absolutely great. . At most of my gigs I use a Tremoverb 2x12 combo , or Engl Screamer 1x12 WITH an extra 1x12 , and like that sound. I think if you added another cab to this it'd give you LOTS more lo-s and fuller sound ,but to be honest it sounded just perfect to me ERIC
Members danbronson
Did it quick, just put a 57 on it and hit record. Mid gained type rhythm stuff...just a sound test.http://www.mp3lizard.com/download.cfm?id=25205Moved the mic a wee bit and added reverb at mixdown...http://www.mp3lizard.com/download.cfm?id=25207 Sounds great. Not too much bass, but I think that's fine as long as the bassist playing with you knows what's up.

Members Randy Van Sykes
Thanks guys...I agree. It's not a modern tone by any means. The preamp isn't gained out, it breathes and has a really nice feel to it. I just borrowed a few pedals from a local store to see if they sound nice pushing it a bit more. I had the back off the combo for the clips. I just put it back on, it adds some nice warmth for sure.

Well, the blue is not the bassiest speaker out there. Sounded pretty damned good to me!

Members Randy Van Sykes
Thanks! The Blue speaker really seems to hog those frequencies were a guitar should sit in a mix, it's really thick, great mids....I dig it.I'll pound on it this weekend at some gigs and make a clip of it (more broken in) in a mix next week.
