Members CenturyStanding
Mmm, my Savage should be here by Thursday ... I can't wait ... I think I check the UPS Tracking site every 10 minutes to find out where in the country my head is. Once I get mine I'm gunna try to record some early clips, I'll post em when it gets here. Members skarhead
Great amp - Love it for detuned deathmetal - fast, tight , accurate and cuts through very well. Somebody has some good settings for soloing ? Anybody tried a tubescreamer in front for leads (if yes which channel do you boost ) ?
Members CenturyStanding
Sounds good, you'll love it! Yeah, I'm not worried that I won't like it. In fact, I'm afraid I'll love it too much. If this thing had a vagina I'm sure my girlfriend (of five years) would be sad and single.
Members smith10210
The savage is my favorite engl. I liked it better than my fireball, powerball,SE, and more than the blackmore coming in second... I hope to have another in the future. Congrats:thu:
Members Charvel1975
I'm still curious about the Savage 120, someone on here had a used one for sale used but decided to hang on to it. I'm on the market for another tube amp head, might have to wind up going used cause me and my mom are in the process of moving. I have a 95 Mesa Tremoverb combo that I've gotten used to it's sound but I'm now just going to use it for recording or bedroom practice so I'm looking for a main tube amp head for rehearsals and shows. I've been looking for something a little different than the Mesa sound but kinda similar, any clips of the Savage 120?
Members highgainlover
On your comparison to the recto, are you using the Bold + SS diodes? Because the Recto's attack is lessened in the Spongy mode.
