Members bcjames Posted July 4, 2008 Members Share Posted July 4, 2008 Finally got the headshell together! Amp is a slightly tweaked SEL as per ax84.com. A pair of 12AX7's with a KT88 power amp. Sounds great! Headshell is made from 12mm ply with a 20*20 frame inside for extra support. Butt-jointed as its just for home use. Tolex is Fender Bronco, from Zilla music - a great place for any UK guys needing tolex. I didnt get many pics along the way, so heres one mock up with the rough cut pieces, and then a couple of it all done. Clips coming once I unpack some more boxes. Yeahh haha im pretty happy with how it came out Its something I might take up in my spare time now. The chassis was one I recycled from a Ceriatone kit I got a few years back.
