Members Raskolnikovs axe
I just got a Fender ProSonic combo from eBay recently and it seems to work fine, except that every once in a while a loud but brief "BZZTT" noise occurs. It seems independent of whether you're playing or not, and is loud or louder than the guitar signal if it happens when you're playing. Hopefully, this is an easy fix...any impressions or ideas? I don't have a good tech anywhere near me, it's a bit of a drive to find one...

Members Devinstation
Does it sound like it is cutting the signal from your guitar when is Bzzzzts? If so, I would check your cables first, sounds like you have a short.

Members Spizzledude
My butt goes "bzzzt!" sporadically and randomly as well. Nothing to worry about. It's the smell and stains in my shorts that are the problem
Members HistoricR0
I was just gonna say, quit feeding it beans. Another guess at cables - it happen when yer moving about? If not, it's maybe something else.

Members Raskolnikovs axe
i have multiple amps and i'm using the same cables, guitars, etc with all of them. it's purely the amp. it'll even do it if you turn the amp on by itself with nothing plugged into it. the amp makes a very similar sound when you switch the rectifier via the switch on the back
