Members wolfspider
There's a local guy who's offering me this Gibson les paul, he said it's a Gibson les paul standard reissue 60's, but i've seen a lot of fake replicas around these days so my question is...Is this a real Gibson Les Paul Standard Reissue? :hmm:

Members Ron Burgandy
Bwahaha actually it stays in tune yep it looks nice! What would be a fair price for this guitar? Guitar Center had them on sale for $2600 about a year ago. ({censored}, maybe 2 years ago) With Gibson's latest round of price increases, the volatile high end instrument market, etc I have no clue. Offer him $1800 and see if he takes it.

Members Ron Burgandy
mine does that {censored} too. it pisses me off is there a way to fix it? It's due to the angle that Gibson sets their headstock at. (17* pitch)The third string tends to get pinched in the nut, so a healthy dose of graphite will do wonders for you. Also, make sure you don't wrap the string around the tuning peg too many times. 2-3 winds max. Just like a winch on a truck, the first couple wraps keep the most even tension on the string.I know, that's a terrible way of explaining it, but hopefully you get the point. Members BadRonald
If the 3rd string doesn't stay in tune, then you know it's a real LP. That's funny and true most of the time. Damn Gibsons. However, my LPC stays in tune and I molest that thing.

If Gibson does the Historic line period correct, then that binding is pretty much spot on. Old Gibsons had a lot thinner binding than the current production models do. Members The Real MC
That's a "G0" a Guitar Center exclusive VOS 1960, built by the custom shop. I own one and have played different G0s in other GCs. They are excellent guitars, way better than the production pieces (and I've played quite a few). Grab it!
