Members almightycrunch
hmm, that sucks, search peavey classic 120 on ebay, you'll find it.
Members leadfootdriver
I have that amp. It's a monsta! It has bias pots that were installed by Bruce Egnater himself. So you can tweak like a mad man. I hate crappy ebay pics. They always try to hide {censored} like you're a dummy. Take a look at my pics.I might sell it if the offer is right. Members diehard82
{censored}, eight el34 tubes... that's gotta be heavy. thanks again
Members almightycrunch
Heh, them damn heavy tubes, if only they were EL-34's, that thing would be nice and light
Members Badside
6 pre tubes? Why? I can see the need for 2 PIs, and some kind of buffering at the inputs. But still, why the 3rd pair? You could build two Plexis out of that Sorry, just curious...
Members diehard82
i totally forgot about the tech 21 power engine series, haven't seen one of those in years. played one with a boss gt3 and it sounded good.
Members DirtyBird
I've got a Peavey Classic 120... I actually just sold it. It's going in the mail tomorrow with my old Rockmaster. I miss it already. Mine is a mono power amp and it uses 6l6's instead of EL34s. I'm wondering now if they're swappable? Probably not... That rack is as heavy as Jesus' left nut, I can only imagine how bad a stereo power amp is. the rack as a whole weighs around 60 lbs. And yeah it has three 12AX7's in it. Hell if I know why... maybe there's two PI's? I'm betting the other Classic has whatever my tubes are, but x2. Anyway i got mine for $300 a couple of years back. I remember them going for $200-$350 on musicgoround, but you don't see them super often.I wonder if there's someone who will do bias mods to them and whether it makes as nice of a difference as it does to the 5150s? Members starsnuffer
Eh. You're amping a pod. Just get an SS poweramp. They're cheap and light. You can get a mosvalve for pretty cheap these days. -W
