Members CaptainCoconut
the button is on a Kustom 12A, the best I could tell is that pressing it down makes the noise drier and more quiet.

Members ComingApart
You positive? Also, what does all of that mean? (sorry, I'm retarded) It's to make up for the lack of a MID knob on the amp. From the manual: SHIFT - When activated the controls shifts the frequencies to emphasize mid range content. The result is a fuller, fatter sound. http://www.kustom.com/Content/20082/Tube12A_Owners_Manual_28FEB02fc.pdf

I still swear the button just makes the amp sound quieter but it's good to finally know its purpose. thanks!
