I'm glad that technical guitar playing is making a comeback, but it seems like all the soul has been removed in favor of playing a fast as possible with no regard for making actual music. The speed is not the solo, the solo is how the roots notes change like a pad on a keyboard. Like he is strumming a tune, only his fingers are going a million miles an hour.
