You folks said that I write decent lyrics when it really comes from a strong feeling or something...well here goes nothing again...

Yeah, those lyrics are solid. I love the tag line. It's something you hear folks say all the time outside of a song so it's about time it was said inside a song.

Does your computer have a built-in mic even? I record my demos super crappy all of the time even though I actually have a really nice home studio because

 

a) I'm a lazy git

and

b) it kills my flow to have to think further than pressing the red button and singing.

These are strong and emotive lyrics...no doubt.

 

After a few reads, though, I'm still not getting a good musical cadence. Probably one of those deals where you can tune up the flow when the music gets involved.

Well done. I'm serious, it hits me right between the eyes. Write somne great music for it. It deserves it. The cadance could be cleaned up but it's there. Finish it.
