I, ahem, found the acapella version of Never Gonna Give You Up on the interwebs - acapella versions of dance, r'n'b & hiphop tracks are quite common, as they're used for doing remixes. As far as the DT stuff goes, I used the stems from the Producer's Edition disc from the limited box-set version of the new Dream Theater album. As far as why it works so well - both songs are nearly the same tempo and they're both in Bb minor. It's almost like Petrucci wrote Wither with RickRolling in mind.
