Moderators Lee Knight Posted June 28, 2011 Moderators Share Posted June 28, 2011 Post industrial cubism? Heavy No Wave? Polkapunk? What reverb is that? I like it. It's got that old, oil drum sort of garage sound to it that's very cool.

Members blue2blue
Hyper-ambient. Ambient in the sense of lots of fake ambience, ie, reverb out the ears. Actually, it kind of makes me think of one of those guitar/drum duos that were all the rage a few years back trying to sort of do their take on the Cramps doing "Surfing Bird" mashed with "Constipation Blues." I note that the next tune in the player also has the super-hyper-hall-o-verb thing going on. Understood that a flood of reverb is the supposed latest thing from the UK lo fi scene but... I dunno. But, hey, it's a sound, huh? If it has the presumably desired effect of making out-of-the-trend-loop folks go, WTF was he thinking? I guess it's done its job.
