Members teemuk
Guitarists normally have to depend on a separate effects pedal to get a good tube overdrive sound, but not anymore

Members potaetoes
so a fender normal channel with a TS and a clean boost, in a nice looking little head... for what, $299? assuming they did it right, that's a cornerstone of rock tone for three bills, which is pretty cool. even if they did it wrong, there are bound to be a bunch of easy mods/tweaks for these things. besides, some people pay more than that for just the tube screamer. Members sahlomonic
Its amazing to see the progression of these little amps. The Tiny Terror was the first one I noticed, then the Blackheart, then HT-5, and now a whole world of them. Just like netbooks it seems . . . Members cooki3monster
I wonder how much it is going to go for....Maybe $300, then it will go up to $400 an no one will buy it.
Members tele62
I can't understand when anyone would buy a cheap mediocre amp with an onboard tubescreamer whn you could simply buy a cheap less mediocre amp....and a tubescreamer.... Members potaetoes
this has been done before...right? tube screamer into a princeton? huh? i doubt it'll have the whimpy cathodyne phase inverter of a princeton. i'm hoping it's more like an AB763 type of thing - that would be eminently fun. Members potaetoes
It's upside down. it comes as a combo also. using the same chassis/faceplate for both = less cost.

Members fretout
Cool I guess, but I am starting to get burnt out on the micro-amp trend. If you need a practice amp with 15 watts, maybe the amp manufacturers could just add a "wattage selector switch" (like Mesa, Egnater, ect.) and then you can have ONE amp that will be sufficient for the stage and your room at your mama's house. Yeah, those don't really work effectively. They kill headroom, and that's about it.
Members mike moriarty
The only thing that bothers me is the lack of a gain knob in the amp section. They know people usually use the TS to boost an already overdriven sound, right? Not use it as a stand alone stomp box?
Members Unstrung
THAT IS SO AWESOME.I mean how many guitarist have ever said "wait a second... why doesn't anyone just build this into an amp already?"WELL NOW THEY HAVE.YEAHHHH. Members fretout
Yeah, those don't really work effectively. They kill headroom, and that's about it.For the most part, they work pretty good. They kill headroom, and that is exactly what the wattage selector is there for. IMO, the compression is what suffers when the wattage is reduced (in a high wattage amp), but IMO still sounds better than the micro-amps being released.
