Members Marshal
On a serious note. . . . , the idea of a competition in a workshop is a little strange. Though not totally bad. But voting amongst ourselves doesn't solve anything. And I don't think the trophy carries any weight anyway. BUT, it might be nice to set up a showcase thread or site that promotes some work by our peoples on other forums, or fb, or whatever. But then we'd all be networking each other's stuff to all our fb friends and such. Which may-or-may-not be of any benefit (and a pain in the arse). So, I'm just brainstorming here. Members Cheese Grits
Ok, nurturing songwriters, the contest is on in HCGJ! Your tunes are poasted, and the poll remains open for about 4 days. I'm trying to do the award ceremony on Friday, and the winner will take home the right to talk songwriting smack for about a year, give or take, by placing a banner in their SIG that indicates that they beat all of HCGJ at songwriting! Come listen and vote: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/...isten-and-Vote!

Members Cheese Grits
Thanks, but I can't really take any credit. Lots of good work from the GJ and SW forumites has made this a cool competition.

Members RickDieffenbach
What I find interesting, even fascinating, and refreshing, is how (on the contest pages) each person's comments sing the praise of a particular song, which someone else thought wasn't very good at all. Not that I am surprised. But it's good to be reminded sometimes that music is very personal, and what is do-do to one may be a great tune to another. Of course, what I said on the contest page is absolutely right, and anyone that doesn't agree with me is wrong....:-)Rick
