Members Say Ocean
Not really looking for metal this go around. I noticed that I shifted heavily into mainly classical music, blue grass, and underground rap. I think it's because I stopped looking for new bands to dig on. Buuuut I'm getting back into guitar writing so I need some inspiration. So here's what I'm looking for: Interesting sound, innovative song writing, unique style, somewhat musically intricate. The bands I was digging a few years ago were Circa Survive, The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In, As Cities Burn, Portugal. the Man, Cynic, The Fall of Troy, Russian Circles. Say what you want about most of those, they all have their unique style and some type of complexity that grabs my ear. It seems like a lot of current bands that have their own style are just boring Well, enough ranting, hit me up with what current music you're digging. Members guitarbilly74
on the heavier side I've been listening to Mastodon, Gojira, Lamb of God, High on Fire... on the softer side The Black Keyes, Muse, Dredge... and I love Porcupine Tree , but I'm not sure if I'd call them modern as I have been following them for decades. Members chris_d
Another one, and one that i am quite late to the party for and only more recently heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jtCz1h4alw Some of it is very much in the vein of some of your Atlas stuff, to my ears, just, with vocals in bits. Members .homewrecker.
Vocals are shaky on this one for some reason, he's got a much stronger voice than what's represented. Also bassist from Zebulon Pike is in this band, so you should check them out as well.
