The short of it is, I need to get a decent recording program. I have Guitar Tracks pro, but there is some separate program/plug in for taking the project and converting it to an mp3. I guess I could explore that. The Guitarport lets me go in, bypass the Line 6 tones, and bring in the backing track at the same time, it's just easy.
