Members tedmich
wooden picks? ummm couldn't you just use your fingers? I gave up picks 2 years ago and don't think I'll ever go back... but before I did I contemplated a HEAVY pick made out of W which has a density of ~19g/cm^3 I found some thin stock which should yield a pick with GRAVITAS and make you a beast by practicing with it ...like pumping iron but 60% heavier... Tungsten, also known as Wolfram, a very heavy and hard metal about 20 times more dense than wood: see http://www.slc.k12.ut.us/staff/larmad/science/Link%20Files/7th_grade_details/Embedded_Teacher_resources/Densities_sorted_by_Material_Category%5B1%5D.pdf

Members wickedmonkey
One of my students made me a bunch of weird lookin picks out of a best buy card and Itunes card... they were cool at first and had a super unique tone to them but in the end a serious lack of control unless just strumming... BUT i AM interested in knowing how those Brass picks sound! Ive played aluminum ones before and they are cool for some tones, used pennies too! how do the brass sound???
