Members notjonahbutnoah
Hey amp guys. How goes it? Thread title says it all. What's the most physically miniscule 100 watt head you can think of? Perfer current production stuff. Don't wanna hunt for vintage whathaveyou. Also, the more clean headroom, the better. Just need a good clean channel. Let's do a price cap of 2K. Go!

Members notjonahbutnoah
Legacy 3 Oh that's neat. Wish to god it was one channel though... and didn't say Vai on it. Though I do play a bright green superstrat, so who am I kidding?
Members benjamin801
This isn't exactly scientific, but every time I pick up a current (or recent) production Peavey head, I'm surprised at how light it is. Valve King, Windsor, etc.

Members benjamin801
That's because you're playing the cheap ones!! j/k That's probably part of it, honestly! Most of the weight of a 100 watt head is the head shell and the transformers, and I'm sure both are lighter in the cheap ones. (Also, I didn't say I played them, only that I picked them up...) Members FastRedPonyCar
That's because you're playing the cheap ones!! j/k This. Zach had a windsor at his place not too long ago when I went by and he was gushing over how cheaply made it was. anyways to answer the question, legacy 3 is the new standard as far as ultraportable low weight 100 watt heads go. That said, I wouldn't base a purchase decision ONLY on that.
Members tedmich
Milbert Gaga uses David Berning's amazing patented designs http://milbert.com/gaga takes +30 different PA tubes in any combo, and people who try it love it check reviews at site. 7.5w/lb the earlier GAGA-50 was ~$2200 list, case needs work IMHO...;( Ugly like the real GAGA and shouldn't the knobs be LGBTQ? Members notjonahbutnoah
Man... I saw that little milbert and my eyes totally turned into hearts... which then broke and turned into black mudd. I want that except I don't wanna tube swap 30 different kinds. 4 6L6's or 4 EL34s and I'm good.

Marshall DSL :poke: It's not a tone thing, still love my Mesa, I just happened to bump into a pedal I like more so I'm using that thru the Mesa. As I said above, I'm just wondering if there is a really small 100 watt dang deal. Heh, and I play a Marshall cab ok man, gimme some credit! I swear you'd adore the Stiletto, almost as much as it would adore your P90s.
