Members guitarbilly74
So I decided I want to invest in a real good delay since it's the only post distortion effect I use so might as well be an awesome one. Ideally, I would like something with tap tempo, ability to store presets, lots of different delay types, including modulation delay and awesome sounds. I've been thinking about getting the Eventide Timefactor, but I wouldn't mind getting a rack either. I think the main advantage of the rack would be I wouldn't need to run long audio cables from the loop to the pedalboard on the front, just one single MIDI cable, so that would make things simpler. OTOH, having a pedal makes it easier to make adjustments on the fly, I wouldn't need to buy an extra rack case and footcontroller. What do you guys suggest for best sound AND most practical solution? Members Ron Burgandy
Strymon Timeline if you're looking in the ~$400 range Guitarslinger's clips melted my face and it looks to be highly tweak able. I highly advise staying away from the tc nova delay.
Members Phrophus
Strymon, Empress or Eventide is where I'd look for big, badass delay pedals. I've only played the Eventide though.

I highly advise staying away from the tc nova delay. Yeah I just heard some clips and It's {censored}ing awesome. It's more on the $600 range though, but it's probably worth it as the last delay I'd ever buy. I used to have the Nova Repeater and liked it but I want something better. They have it in stock on strymon.net for $449 brand new, mang From my limited experience the Eventide is also a very good unit. Really can't go wrong. Members madryan
My G-Major 2 sounds stellar. I'm building a W/D/W rig with it right now as a demo for a local musician. If he digs it he's gonna buy the rig minus the G-Maj and get his own rack FX unit.
Members ChuckSteak
I used to have the MM Hazari. Very good pedal IMO.

Members Krank'N
I prefer delays/reverb in the fx loop. Longer delays and reverb before distortion usually sounds like ass.
