Members 100 watt
I like the regular old Boss OC2. I'd trade it for a working quad of KT88's

Members Mike LX-R
about to pull the trigger on a pog 2, clips are outrageous. I'm leaning toward a micro POG. POG and POG2 are a bit much for my "needs"
Members guitarbilly74
OC-2 is cool.
Members sleewell
needs /=/ wants i would agree but now that you can store settings i think it easily justifies the price tag when buying them used. the organ sounds are just stupid good. i used to have a micro synth that i really regret selling, putting crazy bits into songs really is fun. Members 100 watt
SED Winged =C= 6550's? I'd be down with that too. Im down to 1 quad of tubes . The days of super hot biasing & buying new tubes all the time are over for me. Broke ass bastard is broke

Members buddhapaugh
The original POG is one of the pedals I have owned the longest. A bit nosiy if you run it with some gain. Yes, it does add to your noise floor. But, to me, it is worth it. I like the ability to go up/down octave rather than just up like some octavia based effects. That way you can bring the thunder! Did not like the Proctavia, at all. I would also recommend the new Digitech Whammy. It is polyphonic and bad-ass!
Members buddhapaugh
The Digitech Harmony Man is a cool pedal, too. I have owned that one a couple of times. You can do octave-based effects or run different harmonies. Very versatile.

Members twistofcain
Pog 2 is {censored}ing rad. You have 8 presets, 1 or 2 octaves up, 1 or 2 octaves down, and built in effects. The "detune effect" has a convincing rotovibe tone to it, that I use for some of my leads.
Members 100 watt
I hate to say it, but if you're into the octave up thing, the Dunlop Hendrix "octavio" sounds pretty damn good, to my ears. A guy in Sam Ashe in nashville was playing Hendrix's "Who Knows" with one a few mos ago & sounded killer.

Members PurpleTrails
Micropog here. I hardly use it, but it does track well, and it's nice that it will do chords. When I do use it, it's either in organ imitation mode or octave down to darken things up. It probably tracks better than a Pog 2 or Pog, but doesn't have the versatility of either of those. Another option that has pretty good tones in the demos I've seen is a BYOC Divided Octave, which is a clone of the Mutron Octave Divider. People who have owned both think it's sound is pretty spot on. It's a considerably cheaper option if you're at all capable with a soldering iron. Members PurpleTrails
how about selling me that micro pog that you rarely use? I said rarely, not never. It's one of those things...the organ synth sound is really cool, though it's pretty much a gimmick that I fool around with every so often, and the octave down is useful a bit of the time. Thing is, I'd probably miss it after a while and want to buy another, and it's a pretty expensive pedal, so I'd rather not get on the equipment carousel. Members lank81
I've tried a few octave type pedals from the visual sounds angry fuzz, to the whammy iv, to the ultimate octave, but out of all of them the micro pog sounded and played the best. If you want even more versatility though grab the pog 2. Buddy of mine has one and as everyone has stated, it's badass.
Members theAntihero
Are we talking octave down or octave up? For octave down try the Dano Chili Dog, its seriously the most organic sounding octave ive ever played.
Members flump
I just want to say go for a POG of some sort. They beat the {censored} out of almost every other octave pedal. They're worth the money and they can do much more.
Members akapuli
They beat the {censored} out of almost every other octave pedal. Their only real advantage is the polyphony, otherwise they sound just as {censored} as the rest. (previously owned HOG, POG2)
Members Lord ToneKing
I had the OC-3 and it was pretty cool. I liked that I could set it to 'poly' and do full chords without it garbling up in an octave mess. I used it for big fat heavy rhythm tones
Members Elessar [Sly]
I have used lots of different types of octave pedals, my favourites being: Micro POG EQD OrganizerMooer Pure Octave and where fuzz is concerned: Fulltone Octafuzz. I have tried others but these stand out.
Members diocide
I wanted a simple, monophonic octave effect that wasn't too expensive. I got an EHX Octave Multiplexer XO version. I am not disappoint.
