Members Belva
The only guitars I've seen with these are Hamer Slammers. Exactly what type of guitar is this? I can see your concern if this is a high buck guitar. But if it's a cheapie, c'mon! Drill some holes!
Members wallywanker
it's a fender usa highway one, just a little refurb/mod project i'm working on to entertain myself. one of these - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Fender%26%23174%3B+-+Highway+One%26%23153%3B+Stratocaster%26%23174%3B%2C+Rosewood+Fretboard+-+Honey+Blond/8106079.p?skuId=8106079&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=8106079&ref=06&loc=01&id=1210981930439 - in the honey blonde. it's going to a tortoise shell pickguard with black knobs and trim, s/s/h pickups in black, and all black hardware. the tuners are the only thing left... Members Belva
I had these on the above mentioned Slammer. I was unable to locate the type you're referring to. Most, if not all, tuners available will cover these holes so they won't show. IMO tuners are tuners. But if they need replaced I like to use PW auto trims just because they make string changes easy. Just make sure to get a small drill bit to make a pilot hole for the screws. Something around a #50.
Members WRGKMC
I was looking for my Tele neck the other day and spent quite a bit of time looking. I didnt find any of the type that use pins for alignment in black. The only ones with pins were squire tuners which I actually bought. Most of the black ones will have the additional screw that keeps alignment like these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380210052565&rvr_id=&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=WXI6&GUID=8ba119491270a0aad5379f17ffed89ff&itemid=380210052565&ff4=263602_263622
