Need to find another luthier in Pittsburgh

I went and ordered a bone nut blank for my Larrivee OM-03R and my local shop isn't a Larrivee dealer so they won't touch it. Normally I'd just take it to the same guy who breathed new life into my Tak because at the time he worked at a Larrivee dealer. Well, no longer is the place not a Larrivee dealer anymore but the Guitar Doctor (as he was known as though his name was Jack Cuda) is no longer in.

So what the heck am I to do? Does anybody know of any reputable luthiers or techs in and around Pittsburgh, PA who could finish and install this bone nut on my Larrivee?

What gives, Neilio? Problems with the current nut on the OM-03R? or just feel like a change? I had a bone nut installed on my D-1, while I had it. In hindsight, I probably wasted money on that installation. Costly job. Saddle, different story - easy DIY job, and makes a discernible difference. Sorry I can't help with the tech question. I wouldn't know where to find my own arse in Pittsburgh.

Order a set of nut files and do it yourself.

Kwak, you has done been PM'd. Somewhere on the UMGF, there's a great thread about DIY nut replacement. Will see if I can find it.

Edit: Here it is...

Man, I don't think I have the patience for that. I'm lucky I can take 5 minutes out of the day to use the bathroom without somebody screaming for me for some stupid reason or another.

Try Dave Mannella at Mannella Guitars in Verona. Dave has done all of the repairs / mods on my high-end (PRS, Anderson, Gibson...) guitars for 20+ years. Authorized Fender / Gibson / Martin / Taylor service shop. 412-795-5400. He can take care of that - no problem.

Hope that helps.

Terry
