Members kwakatak
I went and ordered a bone nut blank for my Larrivee OM-03R and my local shop isn't a Larrivee dealer so they won't touch it. Normally I'd just take it to the same guy who breathed new life into my Tak because at the time he worked at a Larrivee dealer. Well, no longer is the place not a Larrivee dealer anymore but the Guitar Doctor (as he was known as though his name was Jack Cuda) is no longer in. So what the heck am I to do? Does anybody know of any reputable luthiers or techs in and around Pittsburgh, PA who could finish and install this bone nut on my Larrivee? Members knockwood
What gives, Neilio? Problems with the current nut on the OM-03R? or just feel like a change? I had a bone nut installed on my D-1, while I had it. In hindsight, I probably wasted money on that installation. Costly job. Saddle, different story - easy DIY job, and makes a discernible difference. Sorry I can't help with the tech question. I wouldn't know where to find my own arse in Pittsburgh. Members Hudman
Order a set of nut files and do it yourself. You have the stock nut to use as your model. Perfect excuse to buy tools.
Members kwakatak
I just feel like a change. To be honest I just hate the look of the tusq nut, just as I did with the tusq saddle. Nasty-looking stuff! Artificial...

I'm lucky I can take 5 minutes out of the day to use the bathroom without somebody screaming for me for some stupid reason or another.
