Myspace Hit-to-Play ratio

Our myspace has a 5-4 hit to play ratio. Or, "HTP" as I'll hereby coin.

5 hits to the profile, 4 plays on the myspace player. In our case, 5000 hits and 4000 plays. I noticed it this morning and wondered if that's a good HTP. I thought "well, that depends, I need to know what other bands HTP is in order to place myself." So I thought I'd mosey on over here and present it to you people. What's your Myspace HTP?

Qualifiers for accuracy:

Your profile has to have been up for 6 months or more.

The initial rush of hits and plays, and people listening 3 or 4 times to the songs right when you put them up at the beginning will skew the HTP.

So please, share your HTP on your profile that's been up for at least 6 months.

Thanks!

Ok, so you've got a 5/2 ratio.

Your band is pretty popular I see!!! I'm only about a minute into Fold, good stuff, it isn't my style but I have friends that love this stuff, I'll forward this onto them.

I'm always uploading newer versions, so you can believe those play numbers.

Thanks for the comments.

Sure, our myspace player only has 100 plays on the song we have up right now, but we've got 4000 total plays, which is at the top of the myspace player. Taking songs down and putting new ones up doesn't affect the total plays at the top of the player, FYI.

I like the intensity in Fold .... like Rush meets Nickelback. Good transitions, pretty clean, and definately intense and captivating.

My stats are broken down differently. But I suspect my HTP is lower than yours. Your stats probably aren't as detailed but are more musician-specific. Mine are so detailed I don't understand what a lot of them mean.

But I get a maybe 5-7k hits every month not counting spiders and robots. And 500-800 downloads on an average month. But that has gone up since a mystery referring page started sending downloaders to my site.

This month looks like a thousand .mp3 download month.

BTW, I don't make a dime.

Granted we are suppose to be talking about MySpace stats, but the more detailed the better. It's then just a matter of crunching the numbers.

surely it depends on whether your profile song is set to play automatically?

I wish it were possible to get a click count for when other people who make a song their profile song get clicks and your song gets played through someone else's profile? Is that included in the click count on the myspace player?

Profile Views: 339986

Total Plays: 504114

Is there any way to tell WHO or how many profiles are using your music as their profile song?

That would be great! I know that alot of people added our songs (due to other people saying that they saw it), but there's no real way to track that, as far as I know.
