Members Stackabones
I don't have one, but this article talks about an app that makes it possible! Has anyone tried this or have you heard any recordings?
Members Sangemon
It's gotten some good reviews, but I'd want to hear something done with it before I plunk down $10 for it.
Members Jimmy Chaos
It looks good for putting ideas down, y'know capturing inspirational moments (bass-lines, melodies, harmonies etc), but no where near as good as say, the Boss BR Micro. Members Stackabones
It's decidedly lo-fi ... which is kinda cool on such a gee-whiz piece of gadgetry!

Wow...that does sound good! Guess I'll get it next week, as I have a 20G Ipod that's not currently in use (replaced it w/ a 60G), so that'll be a good use for it! Members Fred Fartboski
Sounds good, huh? As good as you can hope for for a $10 4 track that you can load into your phone and will be with you at all times.

Members Terry Allan Hall
Bummer! Just found out that our 20G isn't a Touch, after all...just a regular iPod, and I don't see that this handy little device'll be compatible.
Members Stackabones
I thought I had heard about something that hooked up to iPods ... not a four-track, but a simple one-track recorder?

Members Fred Fartboski
My first 4 track recorder was the TASCAM Porta One cassette. I bought it brand new back in like 1986 and it cost $525.

Members Sangemon
I just downloaded this iPhone App which has been discussed here. It's a 4 track recorder for the iPhone or iPod Touch. So I recorded this on my iPhone (with the internal mic); one verse of "Don't Think Twice", the guitar part only, then overdubbed the vocal, downloaded the two tracks to my computer, imported to Logic Express, did a mix with EQ, reverb and compression, exported to MP3, uploaded to Soundclick and posted here. All within about 20 minutes. Tomorrow I am going to try and hook up a legitimate mic. Here's the recording:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=843097&songID=7317682
Members Stackabones
Way to go, Sangemon!!! That's so freeekin' cool! How did you (did you?) get the guitar track isolated from the vocal track? Headphones? EDIT: Just noticed you started a new thread. Repost over there and continue discussion! Members hangwire
I am on my iPhone and walking to work so I can't get to the other link, can the guy who got/ used this app let me know if it only uses the phone mic, or is there an adapter for using a different mic?
