Members Terry Allan Hall
Looks a bit like John Sebastian's guitar... That J-160E Custom would look better w/ a toned down bridge, though!

Members C70man
A J160e? My god. When does a guitar model sieze to be that guitar model?I don't think I have ever seen an uglier (160)whatever...the bridge is wrong, the pickups are wrong, the knobs are wrong, the cutaway is wrong, the pick guard is wrong, the tuners look wrongIt's not even ROUND shouldered! Members Jimmy Chaos
It looks like someone picked the worlds most tasteless guitar parts, stuck them up their nose... and sneezed onto a guitar. And that abomination is the result.
Members C70man
define "wrong" Wrong is what they are calling that guitar..... Call it anything else but not a J160. A J160 is a very specifically built Gibson of some notariety. John Lennon put it on the map. Look at pictures of it. Also, its been around for some time, none of which look like that "custom" Gibson you posted. Now it may sound and play great. I have no idea, but don't reinvent the guitar and still call it a J160. Short of the pickup under the neck, there is nothing that is similar. Here's my point. Why have a J45 look like a J45......hell why not call THAT guitar a J45? Hell, why not call it a Custom J200...it looks more like one with that mustache bridge than a J160. If I was buying a Gibson J45...it better look and play like a J45. It should have the same bracing, bridge, nut, saddle, style, length, etc of a J45, or don't call it one.....its that simple.

From '69 on 'til '79, the j-160e was a square-shouldered dreadnought guitar that looked a lot like a SJ or a Hummingbird. I agree about the J-200 bridge, though...that just looks so wrong!
