Phil O'Keefe
I still use DVD-R's, and I've never had any problems with them... (knock on wood ), but while they're still the least expensive backup method (on a cost / GB basis), I find Firewire drives to be far more time efficient. Besides, I like the idea of having two versions of the backups, on two different media types. I feel safer that way.
Members fuzzball
I also use the 2 media technique, I use CDR and an external harddrive.
Members where02190
We recommend both an HDD and DVD backup archive to our clients, with a further recommendation (which we put in bold letters on the box that the archives are contianed in) to rebackup on the most current media every 3-5 years.
