Ok, so I have been looking into getting something nice with single coils, preferably P-90's... Yet I cant seem to find anything that to me feels as good as a les paul, I really like my current studio, so I was thinking about picking up an ebony lp studio (I already have a wine red), and putting in P-94's?, I know theres more expensive archtop gibsons with P-90's but I am not a fan of binding. Has anybody used the P-94s? do you think it will sound decent?:) ...

or should I hold out until I can find a mint condition 96 les paul gem?:)

P94 in the bridge - I dig it a lot - didn't like it at first, but after I finally adjusted the pole pieces (duh:rolleyes: ) it became a very great sounding pup

can't compare it to other HB sized P90s though - haven't used others

I would like to hear from anyone who has A-B'ed the Kent Armstrongs and GFS Dream 90s

The Gem is a great sounding newer P90 guitar,IMO. Very authentic. I have a set of P94's in a Hamer SATF and I like them just fine. My favorite HB-sized P90 that I've ever owned or used. That includes....

GFS Dream 90

GFS Brooklyn

Lindy Fralin(older model,not the P92)

Rio Grande

Harmonic Design
