Members gearmike
Anyone know if you can put two Core cards in the same system? I have an HD2 System and an HD1 System and I'd like to put them together to form an HD3 System. Will this work? Or will I have to sell off my HD1 Core card and get a Process card? Thanks Mike
Phil O'Keefe
I honestly am not sure Mike. I don't think it would screw anything up to give it a try though... OTOH, Core cards can operate on their own, and because of that, from what I've seen, they tend to fetch more on the used market than process cards do, so you may be better off selling it and looking for an Accel process card; especially if your extra core card is non-Accel. Ditto! Sell your core and get an Accel on ebay for $1,500.Their out there.
Members nerol1st
Well if the resale is high like everyone said and the loss you take isn't that great then (if I were you) I would fallow the advise of the 2 who answered you!
Members PlatinumSamples
There can only be one core card in the computer. Rail
Phil O'Keefe
Thanks for giving us the definitive answer on that Rail - I honestly didn't know for sure either way. Mike, make sure the replacement card you get is an Accel card - some plug ins will not run on a non-Accel card.
