I like going back through my hard drive and listening to them when I have no idea what they are, and a lot of them I don't even remember making. I have probably about 40-50 experimental things that I've done, most of which won't see the light of day, at least in their present form. But they may be folded into something else. In fact, I spend way too much time working on hideous stuff no-one except me would want to listen to - kind of a tidying your bedroom displacement style activity to avoid working on the tracks i should be working on... Experimenting is fun, and there's no pressure. When you're working on something that you know people are going to hear and judge it can make you worry more.
