Members atmu
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWTxI5CVpOQ First time i heard him was on my dad's clapton DVD. After a few years, i forgot about it. But a few days ago, while browsing youtube, I was reacquainted with his superb tone

Members comfortablynumb
Clapton's always had great tone.. except for the '80s. Other than that it's been great. His tone now is incredible. When you can, check out Live at Hyde Park. One of my favorite shows. I'm watching the Unplugged concert now. Awesome show. Members RockNote
Yeah, it's the pleasure of purity. Man, that was awsome! Whiny pop rock does not get any better than this! Clapton is God (for the self-indulgent).
Members Ryan Trevisol
Don't we all? That's what made me get my first piece of crap black'n'white strat, and borrow an amp from my uncle.

Members Sir_Les
I loved his tone in 24 nights through those Soldano heads and on Live in Hyde Park it's actually quite good. But the worst tone for me was on the Cream reunion DVD. I think he's using a modified Fender Bassman type amp these days, at least that what it looks like? I must say I love Eric, he is the sole reason I started playing guitar, but I think he is so predictable these days when he takes a solo. I just don't like what his guitar playing has morphed into....

Members guitar-fish
EC is the man. Definitely my number one influence. I actually like his 80s stuff. Pilgrim had a couple good tracks, but I didn't care much for Reptile though.
