PB/J does a great slapback when you set it properly. I use it a lot for reggae stuff, etc.
Members ComingApart
Looking for rockabilly tones. Is Danelelctro Real TapeDelay a good one. The Dan-Echo is far superior to the Reel Echo for slapback, IMO and it can be found for cheaper.
Members chu2
get a Dano Fab Echo if all you want is slapback. It does only that at a preset time, but what it does it does well. And it only costs around $20, too.
Members bloolight
I'd have to go with the Danelctro Dan-Echo. Its an excellent slapback pedal that can also do longer delays. It looks cool, too.
Members jonny guitar
if you have a bigger budget the DlS Echotap is monter tone for tape like things without the tape hassles.

Members vrm
The Danelectro Rock-a-bye is cool! I picked up mine for $40 new.
Members archimedes
all the above listed are great. also check out the ibanez tonelok de-7. can be found at many guitar shops and does a great tape delay impression. you could spend anywhere from 40 to 400 dollars (or more) on a good delay pedal. i only use it enough to warrant paying around 60 bucks... i pretty much only use it for rockabilly sounds. Members titovanburen
Don't buy the Fab-Echo (the cheap-o danelectro $20) I bought one new, and It lasted about two weeks...now it just makes annoying high frequency when pluggen into... Members bgmacaw
Looking for rockabilly tones. Is Danelelctro Real TapeDelay a good one. Will Boss give me this tone. No. The Boss DD's are digital delays. While they're good at what they do rockabilly slapback isn't something they do well. The DanElectro Real Echo does a very good simulation of a tape echo and early analog delays. I've only had a chance to hear one briefly in a local store so I can't give an in-depth review on it. The DanEcho is also good for slapback although you have to make sure that you set it to emulate analog (aka Hi-cut). When I borrowed one from a friend a while back I thought it sounded too digital but that was my mistake. The Ibanez DE7 is as good as the DanEcho, IMO, and is about $20 cheaper, probably due to a less flashy case. The Ibanez AD9 is very good for slapback but it's more expensive. Members Highway_61
I had a Danelectro BLT that worked well for slapback http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Effects/product/Danelectro/DJ-3+BLT+Echo/10/1 http://www.music123.com/Danelectro-BLT-i66851.music
