Was it the 13th Floor Elevators? Wait...lemme think...

No, I cheated...googled it, the Electric Prunes. I always get that one mixed up with the 13th Floor Elevators "You're Gonna Miss Me" for some reason.

How about "Pushin' Too Hard".

Or, a different band..."Hot Smoke and Sassafras"?

Alone Again Or, She Comes in Colours, Signed D.C., and the giveaway, Little Red Book.

Yes, all by Love and the great Arthur Lee. However, Little Red Book was not written by Love or Lee.

Anybody wanna guess who wrote it?

"Hot Smoke.." was by Bubble Puppy. Two great guitar players in that band!

Hooked On A Feeling

I don't know but I remember being impressed by the production of that song before I even knew what production was. I can remember thinking "how did they do that ?" I have to think that growing up on stuff like that had something to do with me ending up in a studio. One of the seeds, so to speak.
