Members Rich4Once Posted August 19, 2007 Members Share Posted August 19, 2007 The gold plating will wear off...how quickly depends upon the acidity in your skin/sweat, etc. It's not very thick, even on expensive guitars, so on an Epi you can expect that it's going to be looking worn very soon. That trem will not stay in tune beyond a slight wiggle of the bar, so if you have EVH fantasies, forget about it. It's more for looks IMO. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members _pete_ Posted August 19, 2007 Members Share Posted August 19, 2007 Buy it. I had one and it was excellent. The stock pups were even good. I kept the trem and put it on my Sheraton II. It does stay in tune very well. You can't treat it like a Floyd but it's better than I expected. That one is a bit pricey though. I still kick myself for not buying that when it ws being blown out. 499=no. The 3 pickup ones are going for around 350 lately on ebay. That guy is just gouging.
