I had tickets to see the Brian Stzer Orchestra on New Year's Eve, and just got a call today from the casino where the show was scheduled. They told me that the show had been cancelled due to a "serious illness"...

I asked, and they confirmed that it was indeed Brian Setzer who was ill.

Not only am I tremendously disappointed in the show's cancellation, I sure hope he gets through whatever is ailing him.

Wow. What a major dissapointment for you.

Brian Setzer Orchestra or Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, would be my top two choices for new years eve acts.

Sorry to hear they listed it as a "serious" illness!

I hope Brian gets well soon, and has a full recovery!!

Mojo sent to Brian!!!

How is this for a dissapointment.....

I had tickets to see Ozzy with Randy Rhodes when he was killed two days before the show about 50 miles from my house.

At the time I was THE biggest Randy Rhodes fan alive, and I actually cried, although I was only around 17 or so. I purchased two of the very first tickets sold for that show.

Fortunately I did get to see him with Ozzy the previous year when a very young Def Leppard opened for them.

Joe Elliot was the oldest guy in the band at that time at 22 and Pete Willis was only 15, and they were already getting to be pretty big stars!!

I showed up at the Friday night show here at the local injun casino just outside Fresno with tix in hand and we were sent home wanting due to the same thing.

I gotta say it sucked hard fighting parking, traffic, etc and getting turned away. Hope he's on the road to recovery, I think he owes me a couple private lessons or something.:freak:

Sucks to gig with a sore throat. I have had defective pipes for a week and had to sing 3 times. they were short sets, but I just did an absolute {censored} job. I could still play, but people really only listen to the vocals. I did a peter brady big time saturday night. Should have cancelled.

So sorry to hear that, I went to the show a few weeks ago at the Oprheum in Boston and it was honestly one of the best overall concerts that I ever saw, so much energy and diversity of music, he did the Christmas show with his orchestra, his Stray Cat stuff, and also the new classical album. I sat in the 3rd row and it was wonderfu.
