Members Jonah523
if I wanted to buy a lap-steel, would I need to start looking for a special kind of amp as well, or would the one I have do the trick? Just a simple acoustic guy, lookin' for some advice. Cheers!
Members Quarter
No need for a "special" amp for lapsteel, though just like for regular guitars, amp and pickup choice is important for the type of sound your going for.
Members mrbrown49
Out of curiousity, what amp do you have, and what type of music do you play?
Members stormin1155
Lap steels are pretty basic instruments and should sound good through a wide variety of amps. You mentioned that you play acoustic.... not sure how they would sound through an acoustic amp... might be a bit sterile, but then again it could be just the sound you're looking for.
