Members John_McEnroe
I am seriously lusting over a Gibson les paul custom, but I can't seem to find out if the model I am interested in even exists, and the Gibson webpage seems to be one of the most confusing sites around. This is what I am looking for: Black Gold Hardware Weight relieved 60's thin neck under 9 pounds (im assuming a weight relieved model will be) Can I even get this? On the gibson web page it seems to exist... but it doesn't give a choice of neck thickness, are they all fat 50s necks?
Members GibsonQC
A custom under 9 pounds? Not sure if that exists. They did make a Les Paul Custom Lite in the late 80s, IIRC. They are hard to find, though...

Can't find info on it online. GC guy told me they just got it in.

I saw them in the new GC flyer. I love LPs with Floyds.
Members John_McEnroe
I wanted that Gibson Classic Custom that is sort of halfway between a custom and a standard, but i would prefer to buy new.
Members vcnyls
I think all LP Customs have the fat neck.
Members Wyatt
Never seen a LPC with the slim-taper neck.
Members John_McEnroe
Really? No customs with the thin neck? Even the 68 custom? Damn... I really should just get that Custom Classic then... has everything I want and is light. Really sucks that its discontinued.
Members Musicscotty
I recall reading somewhere that some LP Customs from the early 80's had slim necks. I had a quick look and can't see anything to back that up but it may be worth looking into.
Members Guitar Heel
I've seen early 80's models with slimmer necks than the 50's neck, but I never picked up a light one...
