When I play acoustic I'm a strummer. Fills and walk ups and stuff just kill me. My teacher wanted me to pick a couple of acoustic songs that had fills and stuff for us to work on. Well, I forgot and my lesson is in a couple hours, and my mind is blank.

Any ideas? I don't care what genre as long as it's not fingerpicked.

"She Talks to Angels," open E tuning.

"Hangman Jury," which I think can be done in drop-D.

"Can't Find My Way Home," in double drop-D.

"Ohio," also in double-drop-D.

"Euro-Trash Girl" by Cracker, key of C.

"Thorn in My Pride," don't remember the key.

"Every Picture Tells a Story," in D.

"Ooh La La," also in D.

"Gold Dust Woman," in drop-D.

"Mother Goose" (Tull), in D (with capo @ VI)

"Garden Gate" (James Gang), don't remember the key.

"Over the Hills & Far Away," in D

"Can't You See," in D

I've heard a few pickers do a slow version of Just Like Heaven, similar to the one below...

Also, there is Rockie Mountain High

If you wanted a real challengee, you could do a Bruce Cockburn (that's pronounced...CO-burn) tune...

Have a cut capo or two and you can try David Wilcox...
