Members PanaDP
Definitely. The seller is talking like having Page play it and sign it is the same as it being the guitar from their tour or something.
Members docjeffrey
I've told this story about 1000x here--but Wildwood Guitars sold a Jimmy Page Les Paul with the JP signed COA for $50,000. Steve said that he made more than $25,000 on the sale of that guitar. There were two buyers who wanted it and it was the last one on the planet, apparently. The ironic thing about the story is that Steve used the $$ to buy a real 54 Les Paul Goldtop.
Members clay sails
Overpriced? To me: Hell yeah. While its true that "if somebody buys it, it isn't overpriced", I prefer buying guitars that play/look/sound great, not ones that have been farted on by famous people. Members mnewb1
Seems ridiculous, but then again if you do have money where else are you going to put it in this economy.
Members bloolight
Hey man, he hasn't even *looked* at that guitar without putting protective coverings on his eyes. There's probably still some Jimmy Page sweat on the neck even as we speak...you could collect a sample and create a Page-clone like they did in Jurassic Park. I think 48,000 bucks is a small price to pay.
