Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted April 16, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 16, 2014 Well apparently not, a rather {censored} (imho) reggae band from the 80s are having a shot at the title. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-27042893
Members Virgman
My hearing is still good even after standing next to the stacks in the 70s. But I'm careful now. I wear earplugs for lots of things like mowing the lawn.

I wear earplugs for lots of things like mowing the lawn. Somehow my wife is not as concerned about my hearing as I am. She was yelling one day so I put some earplugs in. This only made her yell louder. I do keep a decibel meter near my amp. It's hard to keep the readings at 90 or less because it just sounds so good . Members Chordite
About 20 years back a was at a Stranglers concert at the Brixton Academy as it was then that made my ears hurt and I never felt they fully recovered. (4k dip) Recently I was talking to Dave Greenfield about why they played that gig so loud it and he just said "Rubber walls".
Members Danhedonia
"spokesman said the venue always worked within "strict health and safety guidelines" and ear plugs were made available for people on the night." And I've got some land in Florida to sell you.
