Push- pushes are freakin' awesome, I've got a couple on my Sheraton II. I do kinda worry that they'll wear out eventually... but screw it, the added convenience and James Bond slickificationery of it all is just too good to pass up.

I'm thinking of dumping the rotary on the PRS and using a push/push for a coil split.
Push/pulls are awkward with speed knobs. Too slippery.

The push/push pots that Eldery sells suck major balls. The pins are so freakin tiny they are nearly impossible to solder anything on to them unless you shrink yourself with a shrink-ray or have a team of tiny elves to do it for you. (I had a hard time anyway.)

Then I found some others that were bigger and easier to install and they failed within a month or two. (mechanical switch failure) I would avoid push/push pots altogether and get the tried and true push/pull.

They're spring- loaded. Kinda like the spring- loaded magnetic catches you'll find on prefab cabinetry these days.

Nice...My Roadstar has a single volume control with a push/push pot for coil tapping. I like it much better than a push/pull pot.
