Members GreatDane
Gretsch Custom MB Stephen Stern '57 Falcon Somebody pinch us, please. This is an unreal Stephen Stern Masterbuilt '57 Falcon in a Lake Placid Blue heavy relic finish - a color that we think looks fantastic when paired up with the gold sparkle accoutrements of a Gretsch Falcon. This Falcon is built to 1957 specifications, with a master volume control along with individual volume controls for each pickup, and a master tone for both pickups. We really had to take the time to appreciate the intricate relic work that Stern put into the Falcon, lots of webs of finish checking with small dings here and there, as well as some spots where the blue has been worn down to reveal some primer below - very cool. Not to be overlooked are the beautiful engraved hump-top inlays, nor the Cadillac Gretsch "G" tailpiece leading the strings right into an ebony base Synchro-Sonic bridge. This is a guitar that is sure to be a centerpiece of any Falcon collection. Gretsch

Members larry50
Hot, even thought it's blue, because it's a Gretsch.

Members PurpleTrails
Hot, but it would be even hotter without the relic job.

Members Ancient Mariner
Pre-relic - super hot. Post-relic, disappointing. It just looks dirty and tired, like it's been shifted around a junk shop for 50 years instead of being played within an inch of it's life by Brian Setzer.
