It's the best pedal-distortion box out there imo. I have an old JAP version that DOES sound better then the newer TAI's i've heard. But i have no need for it anymore since i bought my Diezel VH-4... But still... i could never sell it (unless you pay me a 5 digit price for it offcourse ) thumbs up for the ol' orange crunchbox....

Satch, Vai, Cobain, Robert Smith and me can't all be wrong....

Screw it. I have been playing with the SD-1 for the past hour and I am keeping it. Sounds good on top of everything, I just needed a while to find my tone with it.

                psst.....this thread is about the DS1...not SD1.....

the sd1 is the industry standard boost pedal

ive been through 2...my first DS-1 was my source of dirt for over a year....when i thought plugging into my bass amp was cool.

                    thank god i discovered mesa.

but that pedal still has a place in my heart.

and i know boatloads of other young guitarist who love it.

Thanks. The ds-1 was the only boss pedal I could afford. Heh

Through a clean channel it aint very sweet but, with a dirty channel it's quite awesome I say....

The color of his lipgloss maybe? I myself prefer a more softer, sensual shade of red....

I use a DS-1 stock into a Fender Vibroverb and a Fender 52 RI tele. The Vibroverb seems to like pedals! The DS-1 is a taiwan model and just rocks with the amp.Granted a DS-1 sounds pretty rough with SS amps. Just seems to like the Vibro though.
